KD design is popular to be used on medium duty storage rack. Its advantage is much higher loading quantity inside one container by reducing the package size at the premise of keeping the guaranteed loading capacity. It belongs to medium duty rack. BUT we must use the hex bolt and nut connection so that its torque can be guaranteed to avoid getting loosen.

FAQ:

1.Q: What loading capacity for this kind of KD design ?

A: We can guarantee the specified loading capacity of 200kg per shelf. But we suggest putting heavier staffs on the top shelves and lighter staffs on the lower shelves.

2.Q: Did you ever test the loading capacity on this design ?

A: Yes, we did. We are also applying for GS certification for such kind of KD design this year. .

3.Q: What is the advantage on loading quantity comparing with the welded frame design ?

A: Suppose we are using the both racks with the same size of L1200*W600*H2400mm for comparison. If the rack has the welded frame, we can only load 280pcs of racks into one 40’HQ container at most. But if we are using the current rack with KD design on upright , we will be able to load up to 350pcs of racks into one 40’HQ. In other words, we can get 25% increasing quantities. That will help us save the logistic cost a lot.

4.Q: What it the maximum layers suggested?

A: We suggest putting 6 layers as the maximum in order to keep safe.

5.Q: Are there any other safety measure for such kind of KD design rack?

A: We put a hex wrench inside each pack to guarantee the tight fastening of all hex bolt and nut.

B. We supply with the safety pins which will be used to lock all beam when they are assembled on the rack. So that all beam will connect with the upright tightly without the risk of getting loosen or falling down.
